It occurs when Earth's tilt toward the sun is at its absolute maximum, making the sun appear at its highest point in the sky. Because Earth reaches the extreme end of its orbital tilt, the Sun's path in the sky appears to pause and reverse direction over a period of a few days. The merits are generated through activities such as meditations, visualisations, mantra recitations, and spiritual empowerments. 1 May 2026 (Full Moon) 21st Wesak Grand Ceremony (10.30am UK), 5.30 pm (SGT) A NEW WORLD Four-Arm Chenrezig Kannon The 21st Wesak Grand Ceremony takes place in the spiritual dimension located in a secret and sacred location of the Himalaya mountain valley. This ceremony is attended by humans, physically in-person or remote, light beings, Gods and Goddesses, Devas, Angels, Dragons, Star Nations, Buddhas of various Worlds, Bodhisattvas, Siddhas and many uncountable Great Ones. Yantara has been shown we will be guided to visualise a Pure Land (Buddha World) where spiritual empowerments will take place this year. This ceremony will include the recitation of sacred mantras, activations, and meditations. This is to clear our thoughts, energy bodies, chakras and align ourselves to soul travel during a guided meditation to the Wesak Valley in Himalayas for attending the grand ceremony. During the finale, attendees will be guided through a special soul journey meditation to receive Buddha's transmission. This ceremony supports a wide range of seekers; People who are new and needing support in spiritual practices, and practitioners who are already on the path coming here to renew and strengthen their devotions on the path of awakening and self-liberation. Vajra Chanters Vajra means “Thunderbolt” and “Diamond,” and also symbolizes the indestructible nature of Enlightenment. Throughout our mantra recitation, Yantara Jiro is joined by dedicated mantra practitioners who help uphold and protect the sacred space as we collectively chant the mantras of Chenrezig. Together we generate continuous waves of the six-syllable mantra, uplifting and opening the hearts of all present. OM MANI PADME HUNG Is the Chenrezig (Kannon) mantra for mental clarity; Compassion accumulation; Increase in Spiritual Powers. Prevention of rebirth in lower realms and especially transcending beyond six realms of reincarnation, and purifies negative karmic actions. A recorded recitation of this mantra by Yantara Jiro will be available to all participants. You will be able to listen and recite together daily. 21st WESAK CEREMONY VIDEO WHY WESAK? In 2004, during a deep meditation on Shakyamuni Buddha, Yantara received a clear message to organise once a year, the Wesak Ceremony. He was given the vision and structure of the ceremony along with the instructions on how to facilitate. Ever since, no matter the number of participants, the Ceremony has been on-going till now 2026, for 22 years. The purpose is simple, it is to provide space and guidance to receive the empowerments and blessings from Shakyamuni Buddha on this specific day. It is of great honor during this day that we will be soul-traveling through a once a year SPECIAL guided meditation to the sacred Wesak valley in Himalayas. REGISTRATION The spiritual-energetic theme for 2024 is "Stepping into the Light ! It is about upgrading ourselves and taking actions to step into the Light. This could mean being courageous to try something new. Or to step into a role that takes up new responsibilities. Or taking the lead or receiving guidance, or following a leader/mentor. With some effort, 2024 will be very productive and fruitful! For the past 18 years, Yantara Jiro has facilitated the Wesak ceremony wherever it may be held. Last year, he received clear guidance that in 2024, he needs to be in a personal retreat during this period to receive insights and empowerment from the Buddhas and Masters. Knowing how important and supportive this ceremony has been for many people, he has prepared practice videos and instructions so that we are able to generate merits and receive blessings and transmissions on this very auspicious Moon. In this physical world, most human beings are challenged by attachments, selfish gains and delusional desires of this world. Due to these negative habits and behaviours, we are unable to raise our consciousness and transcend beyond the physical dimension. Therefore, to elevate ourselves from these negative influences, we must understand our true-nature and practice generating merits diligently. A recorded recitation of this mantra by Yantara Jiro will be available to all participants. You will be able to listen and recite together daily. This will generate a large wave of energy, and collectively, we can influence and cause a positive impact to ourselves and the world! In our online community group, you may share your total recitation rounds with the group toward the end of this event! Any contribution is great! There are many ways to count your mantras. Consider using a digital counter via your phone app, or using prayer beads, or a physical counter device. Make a note at the end of your recitation daily; more instructions will be given on the participants' course page. It will include information on how to prepare the recitation and to end it.
